The Dummy Place will credit your account with the purchase price for the any purchased items returned to us in good condition. The refund will be made by credit card refund or a check, which ever form was used for the initial purchase.
Due to the high cost of shipping bulky, lightweight items like EPS cake dummies and cake boards, we are not able to offer complementary return shipping labels with your orders. If you retained the original packaging, you can contact us about producing a return label for you. We will charge you our cost for the label which in most cases will be cheaper than you can obtain on your own. The label can be emailed to you or sent in with a replacement order if you make one.
Return of Damaged / Incorrect Items
In the event that your order contains damaged or incorrect items, we will, at our discretion send you replacements free of charge. We may or may not direct you to return the original items to us. In that event, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
How to handle damaged items
Damage attributable to mistreatment during shipment - If your order arrives with obvious external damage to the packaging, you should accept the package but open it only after recording the state of the packaging. (A cell phone picture of the damage along with an image of the shipping label is ideal.) Contact us. We will ask you to send along the images so we can look into compensation from the shipper. We will review the situation and in most cases dispatch replacement items to you ASAP.
Damage not attributable to mistreatment during shipment - All items shipped from TDP are in good condition when they leave our locations. If you feel an item is not up to par, please contact us with images of the items and the flaws you have identified. We will review the images and discuss the situation with you. At our discretion, we will send you replacements free of charge for the item(s) or shipping and handling.
